Cornell-Stanford-Yale (plus friends and family) Sacramento-Davis Alumni Ski Day

Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort http://www.sierraattahoe.com/

(In good weather and normal traffic, Midtown Sacramento to Sierra-at-Tahoe takes about 1.5-1.75 hours.  In bad weather, much longer!  It’s also Super Bowl Sunday, so traffic should be very light….sorry football fans for the date selection!)

Meet up at 9:30am, under the big map by the base lodge, to meet your fellow skiers/riders and find people at your level to ski with.  (Remember to allow for the time it takes to get ready at the car, eat a snack, get your lift ticket, and go through the equipment rental line…).  We’ll probably do lunch at Noon at the base lodge–upper deck if it’s nice and somewhere inside if it’s not.

First time beginners: Check out the AMAZING online $35 Learn to Ski/Ride Package!  If you have any questions about what to wear, what to bring, what to expect, choosing skiing vs snowboarding, send me an email.  Sierra-at-Tahoe is a great resort because you can see Lake Tahoe from the summit of a green (beginner) run.

If you are willing to drive, please email me with your general location (eg: Midtown, Natomas, Folsom, Davis, etc) and how many passengers you can take.  If you need a ride, email me your general location.  Let me know by January 30th.  I’ll then put each group in touch with each other to figure things out on your own.

Stormy weather and hazardous road conditions will likely cancel.  Call me if you have any doubts.  Other than that, I don’t want to over-organize this trip–think of it as a “come and go as you please” event.  No need to RSVP.

Hope to see you there!
